Stable does not target 2yo racing. Runs a small selection of better runners
or 2yo types each season.
-
Most of the stables runners are owned by Hamdan al Maktoum. There are also
a small number of sales purchases that run each season with prices in the
range 9k to 50k gns. In 2004 he had a low point number of only four 2yo
runners and only one was Maktoum owned.
-
Applies the usual strategy of this type of stable in trying to win a maiden
in first 2-3 runs and then step best runners up to Conditions+ races and
put the others away for 3yo season. However note the slight variation with
the small number of partnership horses which have been added to the stable.
-
Stable does not target FTO wins but debut runs are competent within the
runner's ability and the better types occasionally win on debut.
-
FTO SPs show only some correlation with FTO performance and overall ability.
The better types will usually start at 10/1 or less on debut and a runner
at 16/1 or longer on debut FTO is usually a moderate type.
-
Note that in both 2003 and 2004 seasons he had a break with no 2yo runners.
In 2003 he had no 2yo runners from May 27th for two months and in 2004
he had no runner for more than two months after June 26th.
